Privacy policy
Last updated 31 August 2026
The short version
- You can browse the whole site and store without giving us anything or creating an account.
- Buying a single pack needs an email address and nothing more — no account required. The email is where your download link is sent.
- We never see your card details. Stripe handles payment and we only learn whether it worked.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising.
- You can ask us for a copy of your data or ask us to delete it, and we will do it.
The rest of this page is the detail behind those points. It is written to be read, not to be impenetrable.
Who we are
www.tonetics.com is operated by Phillip Morin LLC, trading as Tonetics (“we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal information described here — in legal terms, the data controller.
Reach us any time at hello@tonetics.com, or by post at 1353 Albert Street, Mandeville, LA 70448.
What we collect, and why
If you only browse
Nothing that identifies you personally. Our host keeps short-lived server logs that include IP addresses, which is ordinary for any website and is used to keep the service running and secure.
If you claim the free pack
Your email address. We use it to send your download link and, if you agreed, occasional emails about new material. Every one of those has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect your access to anything you already have.
If you buy a pack
Your email address, and a record of what you bought and when. The email is how we send your files and how we recognise you if you return. No account is created unless you choose to make one.
Payment is handled entirely by Stripe. Your card number never reaches our servers. We receive whether the payment succeeded, the amount, and the last four digits for your receipt.
If you create an account or subscribe
Your email address and name, held by Clerk, our sign-in provider. If you sign in with Google, Google tells Clerk your email address, name and profile picture — nothing else, and never your Google password.
We separately keep your membership tier and status so we know what you have access to. If you had already bought packs with the same email address, those purchases are linked to your new account so they appear in your library.
If you reserve the app
Your email address, which plan you reserved, and the rate locked in at that moment. Nothing is charged until the app launches, and we email you before the first payment.
Cookies and tracking
We use as little as we can get away with, in three categories.
Necessary
A sign-in cookie set by Clerk that keeps you logged in, and — for buyers with no account — a signed link in your receipt email that proves you are entitled to your files. Without these, signing in and downloading cannot work.
Your shopping cart is kept in your own browser’s local storage. It never reaches our servers and holds only which packs you selected.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages and packs people find useful. It sets no cookies and does not store your IP address. A visit is counted using a short-lived hash of the request that is discarded after 24 hours, so it cannot follow you between sessions, and it cannot follow you to any other website.
What it records is the page you viewed, where you arrived from, your country and region, and your browser, operating system and device type. Nothing is tied to your name or email address.
Where a link carries something identifying — the signed link in a download email, or a payment reference — that part is removed in your browser before anything is sent. We see that the download page was viewed; we do not send who viewed it.
Video embeds
Product pages embed videos from YouTube. When one loads, Google may set its own cookies in your browser, under Google’s privacy policy rather than ours. If you would rather avoid that, browser settings that block third-party cookies will stop it, and the rest of the site works normally.
What we do not do
We do not run advertising, we do not use advertising trackers or retargeting pixels, and we do not sell or share your personal information for anyone else’s marketing.
Who else handles your information
These companies process data on our behalf, under contract, only for the purposes below. They are service providers, not customers of your data.
| Company | What they handle | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Clerk | Your account: email address, name, and — if you sign in with Google — the basic profile Google returns. Clerk stores sign-in credentials; we never see them. | United States |
| Neon | The database holding what you have bought: purchase records, membership status, app reservations, and email sign-ups. | United States |
| Vercel | Hosts the site and keeps short-lived server logs, which include IP addresses. Also provides Web Analytics: cookieless, anonymous page-view counts that store no IP address. | United States |
| Cloudflare | Runs the domain's DNS and stores the PDF and audio files delivered to buyers. | Global network |
| Stripe | Processes payments. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers — we receive only the outcome and the last four digits. | United States |
| Google / YouTube | Serves the walkthrough videos embedded on product pages, and provides site analytics. | United States |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety. If the business is ever sold, records may transfer to the buyer, who would be bound by this policy until they told you otherwise.
How long we keep it
| What | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Purchase records | Indefinitely, unless you ask us to delete them. Your purchases never expire, so we need the record to keep letting you download what you paid for. Tax law also requires us to keep transaction records for several years. |
| Account details | Until you delete your account or ask us to. |
| Email sign-ups | Until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you. |
| App reservations | Until the reservation is cancelled or converted at launch. |
| Server logs | A short period set by our host, typically about 30 days. |
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can email us at hello@tonetics.com and ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will respond within 30 days. We will never charge you or treat you differently for asking.
One honest limit: if you ask us to delete your purchase records, we can no longer prove you bought anything, so you would lose access to those downloads. We will say so before acting.
If you are in California
Under the CCPA and CPRA you can know what we collect, request deletion or correction, and not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. In the past twelve months we have collected the categories described above, for the purposes described above.
We have not sold or shared personal information, as those terms are defined by California law, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
If you are in the UK or European Economic Area
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your data, and to receive a portable copy. Our legal bases are: performing our contract with you for purchases and downloads; consent for marketing emails and analytics, which you can withdraw at any time; and legitimate interests in keeping the site secure and working.
Your data is processed in the United States by the providers listed above, under the standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards. You have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served only over an encrypted connection. Sign-in credentials are held by Clerk, a specialist provider, and we never see your password. Card details are held by Stripe and never reach us. Files are delivered through short-lived links that are checked against what you actually own before they are created.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. For anything that meaningfully affects your rights, we will email you rather than rely on you noticing.
