Terms of service
Last updated 31 August 2026
The short version
- Buy a pack and it is yours to keep and re-download for as long as we operate. It does not expire.
- The files are for your own playing, practice and teaching. Don’t share, resell or republish them.
- Cancel a membership whenever you like. You keep access until the period ends.
- Not happy with a pack? Email us within 14 days and we’ll refund it. No interrogation.
- Reserved an app rate? Nothing is charged until launch, and you can cancel free before then.
The detail follows. If anything below contradicts what a product page told you, the product page wins — tell us and we will fix the page.
Who you are dealing with
www.tonetics.com is operated by Phillip Morin LLC, trading as Tonetics, of 1353 Albert Street, Mandeville, LA 70448. Using the site or buying anything means you accept these terms.
You need to be at least 13 to use the site, and at least 18 — or have a parent’s permission — to buy anything.
What we sell
Study material for musicians: PDF sheet music and matching audio backing tracks, delivered as downloads. Nothing is shipped physically.
| What | Price | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| A single pack | $5.99 | One payment. No account needed — your download link is sent to the email you give at checkout. Yours permanently. |
| Tier 1 | $4.99/mo | Every pack in the store, plus backing tracks, while subscribed. |
| Tier 2 | $10.99/mo | Tier 1 plus monthly theory deep-dives and live Q&A. Special founding terms apply before launch — see below. |
| Tier 3 | $14.99/mo | Everything in Tiers 1 and 2, plus app Pro when the app launches. |
What you may do with the files
When you buy a pack or subscribe, you get a personal, non-exclusive licence to use the material. You do not own the copyright — we do.
Yes, absolutely
Practise with it. Print it. Perform the music, publicly or privately, including for money. Use it in your own teaching with your own students. Keep copies on as many of your own devices as you like.
No, please don’t
Share the files, upload them anywhere, or pass them to another musician — send them here instead. Resell or redistribute them, free or paid. Include them in a course, book or product you sell. Claim the material as your own.
The line we care about: a teacher using these sheets in lessons is exactly who this is for. Someone bundling them into a product they sell is not. If your situation sits somewhere between — a school, a studio, a group of students — just ask. We would rather say yes to something reasonable than have you guess.
Payment, billing and cancellation
Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that may apply where you live.
Single packs
One payment, no subscription, nothing recurring. Your purchase does not expire and you can re-download it for as long as we operate the service.
Memberships
Billed monthly in advance, renewing until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not charge a cancellation fee and we do not pro-rate part-months.
If we raise prices for new members, your rate does not change while your subscription stays active. Rates promised as locked in — Tier 3 at $14.99, and reserved app rates — are stored against your subscription individually, so a later price rise cannot reach you.
Tier 2 founding members
Tier 2’s deep-dives and live Q&A begin once 10 people are on the tier. If you join before then:
You are billed $4.99 per month — Tier 1’s rate — from the start. This is a real subscription that bills immediately, not a trial. In return you get full Tier 1 access plus the Deep Dive archive straight away.
The month the deep-dives begin, your rate moves to $10.99 per month and stays there for as long as you remain subscribed, even if the public price later rises. We will email you before that first higher charge. You can cancel any time, including after that email.
If the threshold is never reached, you simply stay at $4.99 indefinitely. There is no deadline and no automatic conversion.
App reservations
Reserving an app plan stores your payment method and charges nothing until the app launches. We email you seven days before the first payment with the exact date. You can cancel free at any point before that charge.
Reserve before December and your rate is held for as long as your subscription stays active — Basic at $4.99 instead of $8.99, Pro at $8.99 instead of $12.99 — even if the app launches later than December.
Refunds
Digital downloads are hard to un-sell, so many sellers refuse refunds outright. We don’t.
Packs: if a pack isn’t what you expected, email us within 14 days and we will refund it in full. You do not have to justify yourself. We will deactivate your access to that pack when we refund it.
Memberships: cancel any time and you keep access to the end of the period. We don’t normally refund part-months, but if you were charged for a month you genuinely didn’t use, email us — we would rather sort it out than have you raise a chargeback.
App reservations: nothing is charged before launch, so there is nothing to refund. Cancel any time beforehand.
If you are in the UK or EU you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days. By downloading immediately you may waive that right for digital content — but our 14-day policy above applies regardless, so you are no worse off.
Your account
Browsing and buying a single pack need no account. Memberships do, because a subscription has to attach to someone.
Keep your sign-in details to yourself and don’t let others use your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access. We may suspend or close an account that is being used to share or redistribute material, and in that case we will refund any unused part of a subscription.
You can delete your account at any time by emailing us. If you do, we can no longer verify what you bought, so you will lose access to those downloads — we will say so before acting.
Availability
We aim to keep the site and your downloads available continuously, but we don’t promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, outages at our providers, and the ordinary hazards of the internet all happen.
The catalogue changes over time. Packs may be added, revised or withdrawn from sale. Withdrawing a pack from the store does not remove it from the library of anyone who already bought it.
If we ever stop operating entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to download everything you own.
The legal necessities
The material is provided as it is. We have made it carefully and we stand behind it, but we can’t promise it will suit every player or produce a particular result — learning an instrument depends mostly on you.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, United States.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and for anything that materially affects what you have already paid for we will email you rather than rely on you noticing. Changes never apply retroactively to a purchase you have already made.
